James,
This will be useful, when combined within the Japan Resilience System collaboratories and working groups that are doing the assessments and services delivery on the group.

Mike,
The person needed to arrange this at UAMS, Dr. Curtis Lowery, is unavailable today (might have been possible if we had discussed during yesterday’s 4:30 call). If Susan is around next week and back in Sendai, could work to arrange something when Dr. Lowery is back tomorrow.
Dr. Lowery said the previous discussion with his TU contacts a couple of weeks ago essentially established they are certainly interested in participating in developing telemed capacity - IF - UAMS would take the lead (TU doesn’t have telemed capacity right now but would like to develop it). If necessary to get things rolling with TU, UAMS is willing to help through in-kind services.
The application of the telemed system to support primary care and distance learning in rural areas is basically what we’ve developed already for the Delta HOPE project, so technical details have been worked out as far as the configuration/equip requirements.

James,
If the Tohoku University team would like to meet with Susan Fassig after 12 noon on Friday, she can probably meet with them then.
