Books about Nuclear Issues

From Wikipedia:

This is a list of books about nuclear issues. They are non-fiction books which relate to uranium mining, nuclear weapons and/or nuclear power.

Al Mac Acronym Guide v 1.0 March 20

The information, we have been sharing, is chock full of acronyms and technical terminology.

Unless you are already familiar with a lot of it, the specialized terminology can get in the way of clarity of understanding.  So here's my translation so far.  New and improved edition to be reposted some time in the future.

NISA = Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency - thru Mar 15

Attached are some NISA reports which paint great detail on what the heck is happening with Japanese nuclear power plants.

I plan to add more later, as I continue to look into the various information sources out there.

You may need Al Mac acronym guide to what all that fancy terminology means, which I will put in a separate post for convenience of people cloning to where most useful needed.

Fukushima Nuclear Maps - Stay out - no fly - no people

Attached # 1 is not all that great a map, but it is a starting perspective.

Attached # 2 has not that much more detail, but may be good enough.

Attached # 3 I called "unknown" because it is not obvious from the context if the map is of Fukushima Dai-ichi which has most serious problems, or Fukushima Dai-ni which also has serious nuclear accident issues.

Attached # 4 shows what changed, thanks to comparing images from two satelites, to see what changed one picture to later one.

Radiation detectors

We need to identify radiation detection and mitigation equipment which can be used in through the Japan Resilience System in the Japan Health Capacity Zones.  Here are some of my initial thoughts on this.

Radiation detectors.  A mixture of my thoughts and leads here.

Illustrations show something which may be a bit bulky.
Text talks about the kind of radiation detected.

There is a mind boggling collection of types of detectors, so we need to nail down which are needed for current reality in Japan.

Al Mac Nuclear Notes Mar 20 v 1.5

Here are my research notes thru wee hours Mar 20 / 21, where it should be obvious that we are overwhelmed with the overall volume of info, and not fully up-to-date on everything.

Here's table of contents of the attachment, so you can see if the content is something you want to get into.

Date in parentheses at end of each chapter heading is when I last added to that chapter.

Al Mac Time Line Nuclear Mar-20 v 1.8

Attached are my notes of what I had accumulated so far, as of wee hours Mar 20-21 nite.

I am working my way thru various reports, and have not been able to remain fully current with the whole story.

However, I hope that some of what I have found will save some other people some effort to get at these details.
