Updates on delays and cancellations for train lines in Tokio

Tokio Train information March 15th 2011

Friday's earthquake and the looming threat of blackouts have thrown the usually well-oiled Tokyo rail system into disarray. We'll be updating this information as the day goes on.

As of Tuesday, 5.20pm (percentages indicate volume compared to regular service)...

JR:
Reduced service on the following lines:
Chuo Main (Takao-Kofu), 50%
Chuo Rapid (Tokyo-Takao), 60-70%
Chuo-Sobu (Mitaka-Chiba), 70%
Joban Local (Ayase-Abiko), 20%
Joban Rapid (Ueno-Toride), 20%
Joetsu (Takasaki-Shim-Maebashi), 10%
Kawagoe (Omiya-Kawagoe), 70%
Keihin-Tohoku (Omiya-Ofuna), 50%
Keiyo (Tokyo-Soga), one train per hour
Musashino (Fuchuhonmachi-Nishi-Funabashi), 20%
Nambu (Kawasaki-Tachikawa), 40-50%
Narita (Chiba-Narita Airport), 100% (one train per hour Narita-Narita Airport)
Ome (Tachikawa-Haijima), 30%
Saikyo (Osaki-Omiya), 70%
Sobu Rapid (Tokyo-Chiba), 70%
Takasaki (Ueno-Takasaki), 70%
Tokaido (Tokyo-Atami), 40%
Tsurumi (Tsurumi-Ogimachi, Asano-Umi-Shibaura, Musashi-Shiraishi-Okawa), 100%
Uchibo (Chiba-Kisarazu), 40%
Utsunomiya (Ueno-Utsunomiya), 30-40%
Yamanote (entire line), 70%
Yokosuka (Tokyo-Kurihama), 50%

Shinkansen:
Service on Joetsu, Nagano, Tohoku (Tokyo-Nasushiobara, one train per hour), Tokaido lines

Tokyo Metro:
Reduced service on all lines (70-90%), no direct connections with other operators' lines. Service resumed between Meguro and Shirokane-takanawa on Namboku line

Toei:
Reduced service on all lines (approx 70%), no direct connections with other operators' lines

Odakyu:
Service on the following lines:
Until 7.30pm
Odawara (Shinjuku-Sagami-Ono, local/semi-express)
7.30pm onwards
Odawara (Shinjuku-Sagami-Ono, local/semi-express)
Enoshima (entire line, local only)
10.30pm onwards
Tama (entire line, local only)

Keio:
Reduced service (approx 80%) on Inokashira line
No service west of Chofu until 10pm

Keikyu:
Reduced service (60%) and weekend timetable on all lines

Keisei:
Reduced service (approx 30-50%) on the following lines:
Ueno-Narita, Narita Airport
Oshiage-Hokuso line (Inzai-Makinohara, Inba-Nihon-Idai)
Takasago-Kanamachi
Narita-Shibayama Railway
Tsudanuma-Chiharadai
No service on Chiba line, no Skyliner or Cityliner service

Rinkai line: Reduced service, no direct link with JR line

Seibu:
Service on the following lines only:
Ikebukuro (Ikebukuro-Kotesashi)
Sayama (Nishi-Tokorozawa-Seibu-Kyujomae) Toshima (Nerima-Toshimaen)
Shinjuku (Seibu Shinjuku-Kamishakujii)

Shonan Monorail:
No service until 7.40pm, reduced service 7.40-9pm

Tama Monorail:
Reduced service (approx once every 20-30 mins)

Tobu:
Reduced service (30-50%) on the following lines:
Daishi (entire line) Isesaki (Asakusa-Kuki all day; Kuki-Tatebayashi, 10.30pm onwards; Ota-Isesaki, 7.50pm onwards)
Kameido (entire line)
Kinugawa (entire line) Kiryu (entire line, 7.50pm onwards)
Koizumi (entire line, 7.50pm onwards)
Nikko (Tobu-Dobutsu-Koen to Minami-Kurihashi all day; Minami-Kurihashi to Shin-Tochigi, 10.30pm onwards)
Noda (Omiya-Kasukabe all day; Kasukabe-Funabashi, 8pm onwards)
Ogose (until 6pm + 9.50pm onwards)
Sano (entire line)
Tojo (Ikebukuro-Narimasu all day; Narimasu-Ogawamachi, 6.30pm onwards; Ogawamachi-Yorii, until 10pm)

Tokyu:
Reduced service (local only) on Toyoko (70%) and Denentoshi (50%) lines
Regular service on other lines

Tsukuba Express:
No service until 8pm
